Wind River Cellular LLC AI Receptionist

Your 24/7 AI receptionist answers customer questions on your website, captures leads, books appointments into your calendar (Chat + Booking plan) and answers your business phone (Chat + Booking + Phone plan). Open it any time at windrivercellular.com/receptionist.

Open Your Dashboard

From your client portal, click AI Receptionist in the apps menu or the Access button on your services page, or go to windrivercellular.com/receptionist. The setup checklist on the Dashboard walks you through everything.

Train It on Your Business

Open Knowledge, paste your website address and click Train. It reads your homepage and up to 19 important pages (services, prices, FAQ, contact) in about a minute. Retrain any time your site changes.

Add Business Facts

Anything that is not on your website, or that it gets wrong, goes in Business Facts: holiday hours, specials, parking, policies. Facts always win over website text and are kept when you retrain.

Set Its Personality

In Knowledge, write short instructions (for example: be warm and brief, always mention our free consultation) and the four starter questions shown in the chat.

Customize the Look

In Appearance, set your business name, the receptionist name, welcome message, brand color, button position, an optional bubble next to the button and a photo or logo. The preview updates as you type.

Test It

Open Test and ask the questions your customers ask. This is exactly what visitors see. Test chats appear in your Inbox.

Add It to Your Website

Open Install and copy the one-line code into your site footer: WordPress (WPCode plugin), Wix (Custom Code), Squarespace (Code Injection), Shopify (theme.liquid) and others. Step-by-step guides are on the Install page.

No Website? Share Your Chat Link

Your Dashboard shows a chat link that opens a full-page chat. Add it to your Google Business Profile, Instagram or Facebook bio and email signature.

How Leads Are Captured

When a visitor wants a callback, a quote or help it cannot give, it asks for their name and email or phone. Every new lead is emailed to you and listed under Leads, where you can export a CSV.

Take Over a Chat

Every conversation is in your Inbox. Type a reply and the AI pauses for that chat; the visitor sees your message live. Click the AI button to hand the chat back. Chats marked Needs you are visitors who asked for a person.

Alerts

In Alerts and Integrations, choose up to three emails for new leads, bookings and requests for a person.

Choose How Booking Works

In Bookings, pick Book in the chat (it offers open times and books them), Send my booking link (Calendly, Cal.com, Square and others), or Collect requests (you confirm by hand).

Hours and Appointment Types

Set your time zone, the hours you take appointments, your appointment types and lengths, the gap between appointments, minimum notice and how far ahead people can book.

Connect Your Calendar

Paste your Google, Outlook or Apple calendar private iCal link so busy times are never offered. Then subscribe to your bookings feed in your calendar app so new appointments appear there too. You also get an email for every booking.

Customer Emails

Customers get a confirmation with an Add to Google Calendar button and a calendar file, a reminder 24 hours before, and a link to cancel. Optional: a follow-up email to leads who did not book.

Get Your Phone Number

Open Phone, pick United States or Canada, type a 3-digit area code and click Find numbers. Click Choose next to a number and it starts answering right away. Call it to hear your receptionist.

Keep Your Current Number

Forward your existing business line to your receptionist number. Verizon: dial *72 and the number (or *71 for missed calls only); *73 stops it. AT&T and T-Mobile: dial **21*, the number and # (or **61* for missed calls only); ##21# or ##61# stops it. Office phone systems have a forwarding setting.

Voice and Greeting

Choose a language and voice (click Play to hear it) and the greeting callers hear first. Click Write it for me for a ready-made greeting. It answers from the same Knowledge as your website chat.

Transfers

Add your number in Transfer calls to. When a caller asks for a person, it connects them during your business hours (set in Bookings). Outside those hours, or if nobody picks up, it takes a message and alerts you.

Spam Protection

Callers with hidden or unverified numbers press 1 before it answers, so robocalls never get through. You can also block hidden numbers and specific numbers. Your transfer number is never blocked.

Your Calls

Every call appears in your Inbox with a phone icon, a short summary and the full transcript, and you get an email after each call. Recent Calls on the Phone page shows every call, including blocked spam.

Send Leads to Your Tools

Paste a webhook URL from Zapier (Catch Hook), Make (Custom webhook) or GoHighLevel (Inbound Webhook). Every lead, booking, cancellation and request for a person is sent as JSON. Use Send test event to check it.

Choose Your Plan

Select a data plan based on your needs. Plans vary by:

Data Amount — Daily allowance (e.g., 500MB/day, 1GB/day, 2GB/day)

Duration — How many days the plan is valid (e.g., 5 days, 10 days, 30 days)

Coverage — Single country or multi-country regional coverage

Complete Your Order

Review your order, apply a promo code if you have one, and submit payment. Your E-SIM will be delivered instantly via email.

Email Delivery

After purchase, you'll receive an email containing:

QR Code — Scan this to install your E-SIM

SM-DP+ Address & Activation Code — For manual installation if needed

Usage Check Link — Check your remaining data anytime

Installation Instructions — Step-by-step guide for your device

Method 1: Scan QR Code

The easiest way to install your E-SIM:

  1. Open your phone's camera
  2. Point it at the QR code from your email
  3. Tap the notification that appears
  4. Tap Add Cellular Plan or Install
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete setup

Method 2: Manual Installation

If scanning doesn't work, enter the details manually:

On iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM
  2. Tap Use QR Code > Enter Details Manually
  3. Enter the SM-DP+ Address from your email
  4. Enter the Activation Code from your email
  5. Tap Next and follow the prompts

On Android:

  1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs
  2. Tap Add or Download SIM
  3. Select Enter code manually
  4. Enter the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code
  5. Tap Confirm and follow the prompts

Before You Travel

You can install your E-SIM up to 30 days before your trip. The data plan won't start until you first connect to a network at your destination.

  1. Install the E-SIM while you still have WiFi
  2. Keep the E-SIM turned off until you arrive
  3. The plan activates when you first connect abroad

When You Arrive

  1. Go to Settings > Cellular (iPhone) or Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs (Android)
  2. Turn ON your E-SIM line
  3. Enable Data Roaming for the E-SIM
  4. Turn OFF data roaming for your home SIM (to avoid charges)
  5. Wait up to a few minutes to connect

First-time connection may take up to an hour in some locations. If you don't connect immediately, restart your phone.

How Your Plan Works

  • Each plan includes a fixed amount of data valid for a set number of days, shown in the plan name
  • Your plan starts when the E-SIM first connects to a network at your destination, not when you buy it
  • When the data runs out or the validity ends, the plan stops; you can buy another plan any time
  • If your plan name includes FUP (for example FUP1Mbps), it has a daily high-speed allowance, after which speed is slowed to that rate until the next day

Checking Your Data Usage

Monitor how much data you've used:

Method 1: Usage Link

Click the usage check link from your email to see real-time stats

Method 2: Phone Settings

Go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Usage to view consumption

Note: Usage updates may not be instant — allow time for the system to sync.

Using Hotspot

Most E-SIM plans support hotspot sharing, allowing you to share your data connection with other devices like laptops or tablets.

On iPhone:

Go to Settings > Personal Hotspot and turn it on

On Android:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Hotspot & Tethering

Automatic Configuration

APN settings are configured automatically for most devices and destinations. You typically don't need to change anything.

Japan (iOS Only)

Go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Network

In the APN field, enter: vmobile.jp

Make sure Data Roaming is turned ON for your E-SIM

Supported Devices

Your phone must be E-SIM compatible and carrier unlocked to use an E-SIM.

iPhone — iPhone XR and newer (iPhone XS, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 series)

Google Pixel — Pixel 3 and newer

Samsung Galaxy — Galaxy S20 and newer, Galaxy Z Fold/Flip series

Other Brands — Many newer models from Motorola, OnePlus, Oppo, and others

Checking iPhone Compatibility

  1. Go to Settings > General > About
  2. Scroll down and look for EID
  3. If you see a 32-digit EID number, your iPhone supports E-SIM

Checking Android Compatibility

  1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet
  2. Look for SIM or Mobile Network options
  3. If you see Add eSIM or Download SIM, your device supports E-SIM

Carrier Unlock Requirement

Your phone must be unlocked from your carrier to use an E-SIM from another provider. If your phone was purchased outright or your contract is complete, it's likely unlocked. Contact your carrier if you're unsure.

Can't Connect to Internet

If you've installed the E-SIM but can't get online:

  1. Go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data
  2. Select your E-SIM as the data line
  3. Make sure Data Roaming is ON for the E-SIM
  4. Check for signal bars — if none, restart your phone
  5. Try manually selecting a network: Settings > Cellular > Network Selection > turn off Automatic and choose a carrier
  6. Turn off any VPN
  7. Toggle the E-SIM OFF and back ON

Can't Install E-SIM

If the QR code won't scan or installation fails:

  1. Make sure your device is E-SIM compatible
  2. Confirm your phone is carrier unlocked
  3. Check you have a stable WiFi or data connection
  4. Verify the QR code hasn't already been installed on another device
  5. Try manual installation using the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code

Accidentally Deleted E-SIM

If you delete your E-SIM by mistake:

  1. You can reinstall it by scanning the same QR code again
  2. The QR code only works on the same device it was originally installed on
  3. You cannot transfer a deleted E-SIM to a different device

Key Rules

One Device Only — Each QR code can only be installed on one device. Once installed, it's locked to that device.

No Transfers — An activated E-SIM cannot be moved to a new phone.

30-Day Install Window — Install your E-SIM within 30 days of purchase. The data plan starts when you first connect.

No Top-Ups — Plans cannot be extended or topped up. Purchase a new plan if you need more data.

Using Both SIMs

On dual-SIM phones, you can use your E-SIM alongside your regular SIM:

Home SIM — Keep for calls and texts (turn off data roaming to avoid charges)

E-SIM — Use for affordable mobile data while traveling

Go to Settings > Cellular to manage which SIM is used for calls, texts, and data.

5G Availability

5G speeds are available in select countries including:

United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Singapore, and more.

Network availability depends on local carrier coverage. Your device will automatically connect to the fastest available network (5G/4G/LTE/3G).

Common Questions

What is an E-SIM? An E-SIM is a digital SIM card built into your phone. Instead of inserting a physical SIM, you scan a QR code to download your cellular plan.

Can I use my regular SIM at the same time? Yes. On dual-SIM phones, keep your home SIM for calls and texts while using the E-SIM for data.

How many E-SIMs can I store? iPhones can store up to 10 E-SIMs; Android devices typically store 5-7. Only one E-SIM can be active at a time.

Can multiple phones use the same QR code? No. Each QR code is tied to one device and can only be scanned once.

What happens if I use all my data? Your plan stops working when its data is used up. You can buy another plan at any time.

Can I reinstall a deleted E-SIM? Yes, scan the original QR code again on the same device. It cannot be installed on a different device.

Can I transfer my E-SIM to a new phone? No. Once activated, an E-SIM cannot be transferred. If you haven't activated it yet, you can install it on a different device.

Wind River Cellular LLC Business Phone

Professional business phone number with call forwarding, voicemail, business hours routing, and 500 minutes per month.

Your Phone Number

When your business phone number is activated, you receive a dedicated local or toll-free number. This number is yours to use as your business line — give it to clients, put it on your website, print it on business cards. All calls to this number are handled by the Phone Manager.

UK & Australia Numbers

US and Canadian numbers activate instantly. UK and Australian numbers require a one-time business registration first — telecom regulators in those countries require it from every provider. When you select the UK or Australia at checkout, a short form appears: enter your legal business name, registration number, website, a contact person, and your street address in that country, then click Submit Registration. Review takes a few business days and you will receive an email as soon as it is approved — then simply return and pick your number. You only ever register once per country.

Phone Manager Overview

Access your Phone Manager from the "My Apps" menu or the "Access" button on your services page. The Phone Manager dashboard shows your phone number, minutes usage, call stats, and a quick dial pad. Use the sidebar menu to navigate to Call Forwarding, Voicemail, Business Hours, Call Log, and other settings.

Minutes & Usage

Your plan includes 500 minutes per month of inbound call forwarding. The usage bar on your dashboard shows how many minutes you have used. Each minute a forwarded call is connected counts toward your allowance. Voicemail recording time also counts. Most small businesses use well under 500 minutes per month.

Setting Your Forwarding Number

Go to Call Forwarding in the sidebar. Enter the phone number where you want calls to ring — this can be your personal cell phone, office landline, or any number. Click Save. All incoming calls to your business number will now forward to this phone.

Changing Your Forwarding Number

You can change your forwarding number anytime. Simply go to Call Forwarding, enter the new number, and click Save. The change takes effect immediately — the next incoming call will ring the new number.

How Forwarding Works

When someone calls your business number, it rings your forwarding phone. If you answer, you are connected to the caller normally. If you do not answer within 20 seconds (and voicemail is enabled), the caller hears your voicemail greeting and can leave a message.

Custom Greeting

Go to Voicemail in the sidebar. Write your greeting message in the text field — for example: "Thank you for calling Acme Corp. We are unable to take your call right now. Please leave your name, number, and a brief message." Choose a male or female AI voice. Click Save. Your greeting is converted to natural-sounding speech using AI.

Listening to Voicemails

When callers leave a voicemail, it appears in your Voicemail Inbox below the settings. Each voicemail shows the caller number, date, and duration. Click the play button to listen. Unread voicemails are highlighted with a blue dot and counted in the sidebar badge.

Managing Voicemails

Click the play button to listen to a voicemail — it automatically marks as read. Use the trash icon to delete individual voicemails. Click "Mark all read" to clear the unread badge. Your inbox stores up to 50 voicemails.

Goodbye Message

After a caller finishes leaving a voicemail, a goodbye message plays. You can customize this message in the Voicemail settings — for example: "Thank you for calling. Have a great day!" It uses the same AI voice as your greeting.

Setting Your Schedule

Go to Business Hours in the sidebar. Set your timezone first — this ensures hours are checked correctly regardless of where the server is located. Then toggle each day on or off and set open/close times. By default, Monday through Friday is set to 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM with Saturday and Sunday closed.

After-Hours Behavior

When a call comes in outside your set business hours, it goes directly to voicemail (if enabled). The caller hears your voicemail greeting and can leave a message. If voicemail is disabled, the caller hears "We are currently unavailable" and the call ends.

Do Not Disturb

The Do Not Disturb toggle on your dashboard overrides business hours. When DND is on, ALL calls go to voicemail regardless of the time. Use it for meetings, lunch breaks, or after hours. Toggle it off when you are ready to take calls again.

Viewing Call History

Go to Call Log in the sidebar. Every incoming call is logged with the caller number, date and time, duration, and call type. The call log refreshes automatically when you open it. Up to 100 calls are stored.

Call Types

Calls are categorized as: Received (you answered), Missed (you did not answer and no voicemail was left), Voicemail (caller left a message), or Outbound (you made a call from the dial pad). Each type has a color-coded badge for easy scanning.

Missed Call SMS and Text Alerts

Enable Missed Call SMS in the Auto-Reply Text card. When you miss a call, your business number automatically sends a text message to the caller — for example: "Thanks for calling! We missed your call but will get back to you shortly." You can customize this message. You also get a text for every missed call and voicemail at the mobile on your Business Profile (on by default; your forwarding number is used if no mobile is set).

How It Works

When you also use another app from Wind River Cellular LLC, they connect by themselves and share information, so you never type the same thing twice. Click Integrations in the top bar (the plug icon on your phone) to see your connections and switch any of them off.

CRM

Callers become contacts in your CRM, and every call, missed call and voicemail goes on their timeline. Missed calls under 5 seconds and hidden numbers are skipped.

Wind River Cellular LLC Digital Gift Cards

Sell digital gift cards for your business from a branded page. Customers pay online, the recipient gets a code by email, and you redeem it in store. Free to activate; a 3% platform fee per card sold.

Open Your Gift Card Dashboard

From your client portal, click Digital Gift Cards in the apps menu or the Access button on your services page. The dashboard has four sections: Dashboard, Redeem, Cards and Settings.

Connect Your Bank Account

In Settings, click Connect bank account. Stripe walks you through a short form (about two minutes). Payments for every gift card go straight to this account; the platform never holds your money. Customers cannot buy until this step is done.

Set Up Your Page

Upload your logo, pick your two brand colors, write a headline and intro text, choose the amounts you offer and the custom-amount range, and set a support email. The live preview shows exactly what your gift card will look like.

Share Your Link

Your page address is shown at the top of the Dashboard. Put it on your website, social media, receipts and counter signage. The setup checklist tracks these steps for you.

The Purchase Page

Customers pick an amount, enter the recipient and their own details, add an optional message and pay by card. The card preview updates as they type.

Instant Delivery

The moment payment clears, the recipient receives a branded email with the amount, the message and a 16-character code. The buyer receives a receipt. If no recipient email is entered, the card is sent to the buyer.

Balance Check

Every card email links to a balance page where the holder can check what is left at any time.

Look Up a Code

Open the Redeem section, type or paste the code and click Look up. You will see the remaining balance and who the card was for.

Enter the Amount Used

Type the amount of the purchase and click Redeem. Partial redemptions are supported: the rest stays on the card until it is used up.

Cards List and Void

The Cards section lists every card sold with buyer, recipient, amount, balance and status. Void a card if it was issued by mistake or refunded; a voided card can no longer be used.

Where the Money Goes

Gift card payments are deposited to your own Stripe account on Stripe's normal payout schedule. A 3% platform fee plus standard card processing is deducted from each payment automatically.

Refunds

Because the money is in your Stripe account, refunds are issued from your Stripe dashboard. After refunding, void the card in the Cards section.

Card Validity

Cards are valid for 5 years from the purchase date.
